Welcome back Cougars! The California School Education Foundation (CSEF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing technology, arts and science programs to the students of California Elementary School.
Last year, through Community Donations and Special Events, we raised over $27,000 to fund supplies and instructor for our technology lab, as well as our Show Choir, School Musical and Band programs.
This year, our goal is to raise $30,000 to: Continue to fund and staff our computer technology lab; support arts education through our Show Choir, Musical and Band; put interactive whiteboards in our classrooms; and give back to the community through Show Choir performances.
We would like to personally invite you to consider getting involved with CSEF. By volunteering your time, making a donation or simply attending one of our events, you help make a tremendous difference.
Please join us for our CSEF meeting on October 10th at 7pm, be sure to sign up for our Email Newsletter, and mark your calendar for these upcoming CSEF Events:

CSEF Spring Gala & Auction
May 17, 2014
(Online Auction May 9 - May 16)
- Gala Event (5/17): This year's event is Blue Hawaii - a dinner dance, casino, silent auction, live auction, and a lot of fun for California school parents! The event is held at Halecrest in Costa Mesa.
- Online Auction (5/9 - 5/16): Fabulous products, services, travel and more will be featured in our online auction available to a global audience through biddingforgood.com.
How much money will be raised this year? And what will the money be used for? Our goal is to raise at least $10,000. All CSEF fundraisers support technology, arts, and science programs for our kids.
How can I get involved?
- Donations: We are looking for Title Sponsors as well as seeking items to be sold during our auction (online from 5/9 – 5/16 and live on 5/17). Please help by asking your friends and community contacts to contribute products, services, gift cards, specialty retail items, vacation destinations or entertainment. Our promotion will reach the local community through Newport-Mesa School District families, extended families, friends, and neighbors. Businesses will also be presented to a global audience of thousands through our affiliation with biddingforgood.com.
- Volunteer: We need 35 volunteers. We plan to have a lot of fun putting this party together, so grab some friends and join us! Here are just a few examples of where you can help: Auction, publicity, Spirit Week, ticket sales, event planning, set up, tear down, childcare coordinator, and more!
Who do I contact to sign up to help or get more information? Contact Gala chairperson, Kirsten McNiff at CaliforniaSchoolFoundation@gmail.com or 949-322-9554.
